BUSINESS TOURISTS FROM THE UNITED STATES RUSH TO BELGRADE

2022 is going to be the era of Great Revival of business tourism despite increasing travel costs and complicated procedures, but the region is ready and set! We are honored to sign the first Strategic Partnership Agreement on joint market representation in the United States between Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia. The agreement is ready to launch Western Balkans on the emerging USA market and was signed on January 13th by the leading destination companies Vekol DMC (Belgrade) and Intours DMC (Ljubljana) as regional industry leaders. The partnership is supported by Convention Bureau of Serbia and Convention Bureau of Slovenia.
 
The ceremony took place at Serbian national pavilion at DUBAI EXPO 2020 and got major attention off the media. “With the dizzying growth of hotel capacities and having in mind the capital investments in the modernization of the transport infrastructure, the conditions have finally been met for Belgrade and Serbia to present their opportunities on the largest global market – the United States. In reality, this partnership implies that Belgrade will soon host prestigious world congresses in some of the most innovative fields, which will engage the entire chain of entities in the hospitality and service industries. The benefits of this agreement will soon be felt in the entire domestic economy “, said Dejan Bogdanov, Managing Partner at Vekol DMC in an interview for Serbian National TV.
 
As a reminder, Serbian national carrier Air Serbia flies to New York four times a week, while two American airlines including United Airlines announce launching of the first direct flight from the East Coast to our region next year.
